Description
Our electrical enclosures house power distribution, metering and control equipment for factories, buildings, utilities and infrastructure projects. Each one is configured to your equipment list and site conditions, then built and tested in our Hangzhou factory.
Industrial Electrical Cabinets Overview
An electrical enclosure protects people from live parts and protects equipment from dust, water and impact. A well-designed one also keeps wiring organised, manages heat, allows safe access for maintenance and leaves room for future additions. We supply complete assemblies — enclosure, mounting plates, breakers, busbars, terminals, meters and controls — designed as one system rather than an empty box filled on site.
Cabinet Types
| Type | Typical contents | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Distribution cabinet | Incomer, MCCBs/MCBs, busbars, meters | Sub-distribution in plants and buildings |
| Metering cabinet | Energy meters, CTs, test blocks | Tenant, utility and process energy metering |
| Power supply cabinet | Transformers, UPS, DC supplies | Control and instrument power |
| Terminal / junction cabinet | Terminals, fuses, surge protection | Field cable marshalling |
| Outdoor kiosk | Distribution and control in a weatherproof enclosure | Pump stations, street and site installations |
Key Features
- Engineered layout – logical arrangement of power, control and terminal areas with cable routes planned in advance.
- Protection and safety – door-interlocked isolators, shrouded busbars, finger-safe terminals and protective earthing of doors and plates.
- Thermal management – heat-loss calculation with ventilation, fans, heat exchangers or air conditioning as required.
- Robust construction – powder-coated steel or stainless steel, gasketed doors and lockable handles.
- Clear identification – labelled devices, numbered wires and circuit charts matching the drawings.
- Room to grow – spare ways and mounting space for future circuits.
Enclosure Options
- Wall-mounted, floor-standing and multi-bay formats
- IP54 to IP66 protection depending on location
- Top, bottom or side cable entry with gland plates
- Plinths, base frames, lifting eyes and rain canopies
- Anti-condensation heaters, thermostats and lighting
- Viewing windows for meters and indicators
Applications
Factories and process plants, commercial and public buildings, water and wastewater sites, pumping stations, infrastructure and transport projects, and renewable energy installations. For larger distribution systems see our low-voltage switchgear, and for machine and process control see our precision control panels.
Standards and Testing
Low voltage assemblies are designed and verified to IEC 61439. Every cabinet is inspected and tested before delivery — wiring and clearance checks, dielectric and insulation resistance tests, and functional checks of controls and interlocks — and supplied with drawings, a bill of materials and test records.
Installation and Maintenance
Cabinets are delivered ready to fix to walls, floors or plinths, with clear terminal lists for the installer. In service, periodic checks — cleaning filters, checking terminal tightness, inspecting seals and looking for signs of moisture or overheating — keep the equipment safe and reliable. Thermographic scans under load are a quick way to find loose or overloaded connections before they fail.
Why Choose Danli
We design and build enclosures as part of complete power and automation systems, so they fit cleanly with the switchgear, drives and control panels around them. Components come from the brands you specify, documentation is provided in English for export projects, and our after-sales team supports every installation. See our certifications.

Choosing the Right Enclosure
Start with what goes inside: list every device with its dimensions and heat loss, add space for cable entry, terminals and future additions, and choose an enclosure that leaves at least 20–30% free mounting area. Then look at the location. Clean indoor electrical rooms usually need IP31–IP54; dusty production areas, wash-down zones and outdoor sites need IP55–IP66 with suitable seals and cooling. Corrosive environments such as chemical plants and coastal sites call for stainless steel or special coatings. Finally, check access: doors must open fully, there must be safe working space in front of the cabinet, and heavy equipment should be mounted low for easy handling.
Example: Pump Station Kiosk
A municipal pumping station needs an outdoor kiosk containing the incoming supply, energy metering, two pump feeders with VFDs, a small PLC with telemetry and a UPS for the controls. We design a double-door stainless steel kiosk on a concrete plinth, with a sun shield, filtered ventilation sized for the drive heat, an anti-condensation heater, internal lighting and separate compartments for power and control. The kiosk is fully wired and tested in the factory, so on site the contractor only connects the incoming cable, pump cables and instruments.
Common Mistakes We Help Avoid
- Enclosures too small for the heat produced, leading to drive and power supply failures.
- No separation between power and signal wiring, causing interference on instrument signals.
- IP ratings chosen for the room rather than the actual exposure to water and dust.
- No spare space, so later additions are squeezed in without proper wiring or labelling.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this range and your precision control panels?
This range covers power distribution, metering and general-purpose enclosures, while precision control panels focus on PLCs, relays and machine or process control. Many projects use both.
Which sizes and materials are available?
Wall-mounted and floor-standing enclosures in painted steel or stainless steel, single or multi-bay, sized to the equipment and the space available.
Can you supply empty or partly fitted enclosures?
Yes. We can supply complete assemblies, or enclosures with mounting plates and partial fit-out for completion by your team.
Do the cabinets comply with IEC 61439?
Low voltage assemblies are designed and verified to IEC 61439, with routine verification of every assembly before delivery.
