Description
Our variable frequency drive panels combine the drive with the protection, filtering, cooling and control it needs to run reliably in industrial conditions. Each panel is designed around your motor, supply and site, then wired and tested in our Hangzhou factory before shipment.
VFD Cabinet Overview
A variable frequency drive changes the frequency and voltage supplied to an AC motor so its speed can follow the needs of the process. Housed in a properly engineered enclosure, the drive is protected from dust, moisture and accidental contact, and is connected to upstream protection and downstream filters in a tested, documented assembly. The result is smoother starting, lower energy use and better process control for pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors.
Key Features
- Complete motor control – incoming isolator or breaker, drive, line and output filters, control relays and operator devices in one assembly.
- Energy saving – speed control of pumps and fans instead of throttling valves or dampers.
- Soft starting – reduced inrush current and mechanical stress on motors, couplings and pipework.
- Thermal design – heat-loss calculation with filtered fans, heat exchangers or air conditioning sized for your site temperature.
- Communication – hard-wired I/O or fieldbus links to PLC, DCS and SCADA.
- Bypass options – manual or automatic bypass so critical pumps can run direct-on-line if the drive fails.
Typical Components
| Component | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Main isolator / circuit breaker or fuses | Isolation and short-circuit protection |
| Line reactor or EMC filter | Reduces harmonics and electrical noise sent to the supply |
| Variable frequency drive | Controls motor speed and torque |
| Output reactor or dV/dt filter | Protects motor insulation on long cable runs |
| Braking resistor (if required) | Absorbs energy when high-inertia loads stop quickly |
| Control relays, PLC or I/O | Start/stop logic, interlocks and status signals |
| Door-mounted HMI or keypad | Local operation, speed reference and fault display |
| Cooling system | Keeps the drive within its rated temperature |
Applications
- Water and wastewater pumps, blowers and booster stations
- HVAC fans, chillers and cooling towers
- Conveyors, crushers and mills in mining and metals
- Compressors and process pumps in oil and gas
- Extruders, mixers and production line drives in manufacturing
Options and Customisation
Single-drive and multi-drive panels, wall-mounted or floor-standing enclosures, mild steel or stainless steel, IP54 to IP65 protection, harmonic filters, bypass contactors, motor heaters, emergency stops and safe torque off, and integration with your PLC brand and network. Panels can also be combined with low voltage switchgear in a motor control centre.
Standards and Testing
Assemblies are designed to IEC 61439. Every panel receives routine tests — wiring checks, insulation resistance, functional tests of control circuits — and, on request, a factory acceptance test with the drive powered and parameters set. Drawings, parameter lists and test reports are supplied with each delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size of motor can your drive panels control?
We build drive panels for small pump and fan motors up to large process motors. The drive rating, cooling and enclosure size are selected for each motor and duty, so tell us the motor power, voltage and application.
Which drive brands do you use?
We use major international and leading Chinese drive brands, according to your specification and the support available at your site.
Do you include harmonic filters?
Line reactors, EMC filters and, where needed, active or passive harmonic filters are included to meet your supply requirements and site standards.
Can the panel communicate with our PLC or SCADA?
Yes. Drives can be controlled by hard-wired signals or by PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU and other common protocols.
