How to Request a Quote That Gets an Accurate Answer

The more complete your enquiry, the faster and more accurate our proposal will be. Where possible, please attach or describe:

  • Single-line diagram or load list for switchgear and distribution boards
  • I/O list, control philosophy or process description for PLC/DCS cabinets
  • Motor list with power ratings, starting method and duty for MCCs and VFD cabinets
  • Supply details – voltage, frequency, short-circuit level and earthing system
  • Site conditions – indoor or outdoor, ambient temperature, altitude, humidity, dust or hazardous areas
  • Preferred brands for breakers, drives, PLCs and HMIs
  • Standards and certifications required for your project or country
  • Quantities and delivery date, plus the delivery port or site address

If you do not have all of this yet, send what you have. Our engineers can help you complete the specification, or recommend a short solution evaluation first.

What Happens After You Submit

  1. 1. Review – an engineer checks your documents and confirms our understanding of the scope.
  2. 2. Clarification – if anything is missing or unclear, we ask focused questions or suggest a short call.
  3. 3. Proposal – you receive a quotation with the scope of supply, main equipment list, assumptions, price, delivery time and payment terms.
  4. 4. Technical discussion – we can review the proposal with your engineers and adjust options to fit your budget and schedule.
  5. 5. Order and drawings – after order confirmation, we issue drawings for approval before manufacturing starts.

What Affects the Price

FactorWhy it matters
Size and ratingsHigher current, voltage and short-circuit ratings need larger busbars, breakers and enclosures
Component brandsPremium international brands and specific models affect cost and lead time
Enclosure and environmentStainless steel, high IP ratings, cooling or hazardous-area equipment add cost
Drives and motor startersVFDs and soft starters cost more than direct-on-line starters but save energy
Software scopePLC programming, HMI and SCADA development are a significant part of control projects
Testing and documentationWitnessed FAT, third-party inspection and special documentation add time
Packing and shippingExport packing and freight depend on destination and Incoterms
Main factors that affect a switchgear or control cabinet quotation

Typical Lead Times

Lead time depends on size, component availability and how quickly drawings are approved. As a guide, standard control panels and small switchboards usually take a few weeks from drawing approval, while large switchgear line-ups and complete automation systems take longer because of engineering, software development and testing. We confirm a realistic delivery date in every proposal and update you if anything changes.

Tips for Comparing Quotations

Switchgear and control cabinet prices can look very different between suppliers, but the difference is often in the scope rather than the quality. When you compare offers, check that each one covers the same things:

  • The same ratings: rated current, short-circuit withstand, IP rating and form of separation.
  • The same component brands and models, not just “equivalent”.
  • Whether software (PLC, HMI, SCADA) and its testing are included.
  • Type-test or design-verification evidence for the switchgear or assembly design offered.
  • Factory acceptance test scope, documentation and spare parts.
  • Packing, shipping and Incoterms, and any site support included.
  • Payment terms, warranty period and lead time from drawing approval.

A slightly higher price that includes testing, documentation and support is often cheaper overall than a low offer that leaves gaps to be filled on site.

Why Buyers Choose Danli

  • One supplier for power and control – switchgear, MCCs, VFDs and PLC/DCS cabinets engineered together, so interfaces are coordinated.
  • In-house engineering and software – design, programming and testing by the same team that supports you after delivery.
  • Tested before shipment – routine tests on every cabinet and factory acceptance tests for control systems.
  • Clear documentation – drawings, test reports, settings and manuals in English for export projects.
  • Long-term support – spare parts, remote assistance and upgrades through our after-sales service.

After You Place an Order

Once you confirm the order, a project engineer becomes your single point of contact. You receive a project schedule and the first drawings for approval — typically single-line or schematic diagrams, general arrangement drawings and a bill of materials. After approval, components are purchased and the cabinets are assembled, wired and labelled in our factory while the software is developed in parallel.

Before shipment we carry out routine tests and, for control systems, a factory acceptance test with simulated signals. You are welcome to attend in person, send an inspector or join by live video. Test results are recorded and included in the final documentation package, together with as-built drawings, settings lists, manuals and the recommended spare parts list. Equipment is then packed for transport — export packing for sea or air freight where needed — and our team stays available for installation questions, commissioning support and training.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long after I send my enquiry will I receive it?

Simple requests are usually answered within a few working days. Large or complex projects take longer, especially if engineering clarification is needed.

Can I get a budget price without full drawings?

Yes. With a short description, main ratings and quantities we can give a budget price for planning. A firm quotation needs more detailed information.

Do you quote for export projects?

Yes. We quote for projects worldwide and can include export packing, freight and commissioning support.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Drawings and documents you send are used only to prepare your proposal and project.
